MAN TGX named sustainable Truck of year 2022

The 375 kW variant of MAN's flagship truck received the prestigious award in the semitrailer tractor category at Italy's Ecomondo, one of Europe's leading trade fairs for sustainable and regenerative circular economy. The jury, which was made up of top international trade journalists, praised the TGX 18.510 as being particularly fuel-saving, efficient, and environmentally friendly. The title is one of numerous international awards that MAN's new generation of trucks has already won since its market launch in February 2020, including the International Truck of the Year 2021 as well as design prizes such as the Red Dot Design and German Design Award.
Championed as a frugal long-haul truck, the MAN TGX tractor unit mixes functionality with a hint of panache. It has a loyal following among drivers and bosses.
Its reputation suffered with Euro-5 technical issues but MAN has gone some way to restoring faith with a strong, resolute and spacious Euro-6 truck.
“The consistently positive feedback we have received for our new truck generation from customers, experts, and the public since its market launch makes us very proud and spurs us on to consistently continue on this path,” says Göran Nyberg, Executive Board Member for Sales and Customer Solutions at MAN Truck & Bus.
The quality and efficiency standards have been raised due to the significant improvements the new generation of the MAN TGX has installed. Decreased fuel consumption is also a big benefit, and this is a result of refined aerodynamics which increase airflow to decrease drag. You will also feel extra comfortable in the newly designed functional cab, whether you are on the road or taking a much-deserved break.
Since the release of the new MAN Truck generation, it has won many awards including the “Sustainable Truck, of the Year 2022,” and “International Truck of the Year 2021″ in its debut year.
The MAN TGX was judged by a group of 25 international jurors, and they deemed the vehicle very advanced in terms of ride comfort, fuel efficiency, quality of work and living, safety, innovative services connectivity, and operating and display philosophy. Design professionals were also impressed with the design of the driver’s work area, stating that it was meticulously designed to be extremely practical.
