AMTEC beats 42 nations to win Sub-Saharan Africa Aftersales Achievement award

HARARE—AMTEC, which has nearly 70 years of experience in the automotive industry in Zimbabwe, announced one award today in recognition of the company's exceptional aftersales and commitment to customer satisfaction.
After-sales service, also called after-sales support, refers to the services and support a business offers to customers as part of its customer satisfaction and customer retention policy after the offering is sold. Therefore, after-sales service and customer satisfaction are closely linked.

After arriving from Egypt, AMTEC chief executive officer Lucas Taruvinga said there is a human factor and a God factor to all achievements.
"Yes, we represented Zimbabwe. We are four dealers for Nissan Zimbabwe. I think of the four dealers, we are the only ones who managed to get this award," he said.
The award is called the Sub-Saharan Africa Aftersales Achievement. There were 42 countries that were vying for that award.

Apart from this award, the company was also nominated for the dealer of the year award and the new vehicle sales award.
"So, we were finalists for two more, but we did not win. We lost 1 to Malawi but we managed to get this one (Sub-Saharan Africa Aftersales Achievement), which is a key one because it talks about aftermarket business, which shows the importance of us looking after cars."
He said the company is the best in the country, tested and tried over the years.

"We dealt with the Nissan brand for over four decades." We have always won different awards year in and year out, and more so, especially in the aftermarket and the customer satisfaction index, where we are very good at looking at our customers, "he said.

"We do not just sell vehicles, we then look after them for life because in Zimbabwe, a vehicle is like a human being."
After-sales services constitute all the services and support provided after the product sale. The business offers all these services to reaffirm to customers that their decision to rely on the brand is justified and that they should stick with the brand for the long term.

After-sales service is facing a time of change. The market is enjoying steady growth bringing increased competition, acquisitions and customer demands.
AMTEC currently has 6 branches across the country and it is poised to open a new branch in Chinhoyi.
