2022 Foton Tunland review
DRIVEtorque is not sure if this truck will find its way into Zimbabwe through the local dealership. However, it is a good bakkie and up for discussion.
The 2022 Foton Tunland version is the latest with all the new specs and features that have since been upgraded from its predecessors. That big truck has 120KW Cummins ISF 2.8-litre diesel engine. The Foton Tunland has a maximum torque of 360Nm per wheel, which is higher than other models available in the market. Engineers have fitted the unit with a turbocharged BOSCH 4G69 petrol engine that provides a beautiful driving experience with aggressive style and reliable features.
Interior:
The interior of this truck is completely luxurious with all the premium-level tools and trims. The inner cab has a large shield that gives you an amazing sense of clarity and visibility while driving. Power steering is equipped with all the electrical features like air gear, anti-locking, power windows, and safety modes.
The front and back legroom is spacious with comfortable seats. The latest infotainment system has an 8 LED touch screen with Bluetooth, smartphone options offer an amazing experience of long drives and 6 adjustable positions in the driving seat that allows the driver to drive comfortably and confidently.
Exterior:
The truck looks so aggressive from the outside. It has a dual cab with a space behind the open-air cargo dump style. The front grill features chrome wings and the same Foton logo in the middle. The front bumper has a strong trapezium wind, carrying a black left-to-right fog lamp. Wide and dense LED headlamps and turn indicators are placed on the sharp edge of the frontal bonnet.
It has four doors with a seating capacity of 2 x 5 people. Its 15″ large alloy rim tires are well suited to withstand suspension, especially on Zimbabwean roads. With a long wheelbase, the rear 4.35m trunk has a capacity of 1.5T cargo.
